VM-100

General information
- VM100 is a 16 channels automatic data collector with an additional 4 rpm inputs, dedicated mainly for continuous monitoring of rotating machines.
- Up to sixteen VM100 units can be connected to a single PC using a RS485 multi-drop serial communication link.
- The VM100 units are operating only as slaves. A serial converter RS-485 to RS-232 must be used on the computer side.
Measurements
- A wide range of measurement can be done, because the VM100 unite is hardware/software configurable and accepts a large range of transducers.
The VM100 unit is placed close to the measuring points. The saves installation and cable costs.
The VM100units are connected in series with using a 4 wire cable. This will further save installation and cable costs.

- The SpectraLive software:
- The SpectraLive software is dedicated to show measurements coming from the VM100 units. SpeectraLive is license-free and included with each VM100 unit.
- The software has two operation modes:
- Design mode, in which up to 4 pages (maximum 64 channels) can be configured to show measurements from any VM100 unit.
- Normal run mode in which the measurements are shown.
- The software has the following facilities:
- Easy page configuration includes an automatic project design.
- Each page can have a background image (any Windows file format).
- Each measurement is shown as a "tag".
- Each "tag" can be automatically created by information from the VM100.
- Short term trend (last 8 hours) and archive trend (last 5 days) are available for each "tag".
- A large number of plots can be activated (spectrum, orbit, polar orders or waveform) in a separate window.
- Printed reports are available by pressing a single button.
- Measurements can be stored directly in a SpectraPro machinery database.
- Alarms are shown in a suggestive graphical view.
- A more advanced software SpectraLive is available that can handle up to 16 VM100 units (256 channels) connected to the same computer. If even more channels are needed just add one computer more.
